IOM UK: Sudan UASC Refugee Information Session
The training session is designed to deepen your understanding of Sudanese culture and the unique challenges faced by unaccompanied asylum-seeking children from Sudan.
The session will cover:
- Cultural Overview: Explore the rich history, traditions, and social norms of Sudan, providing a comprehensive background to better understand the cultural context of Sudanese asylum seekers.
- Experiences of Unaccompanied Children: Gain insights into the journeys and hardships faced by unaccompanied children seeking asylum, including the psychological and emotional impacts of displacement and separation from family.
- Support Strategies: Learn effective approaches to support and engage with these children, fostering a safe and inclusive environment that respects their cultural heritage and addresses their specific needs.
