This session will cover the experiences and background of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) with a key focus on UASC from Afghanistan. The session content will also focus on how unaccompanied children fit within the global context of migration, how children become unaccompanied, routes and journeys of unaccompanied children, situations in Europe, and mental health and wellbeing of unaccompanied children. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion; therefore, we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.
